hello [at] mentordrop.com1. Acceptance and access
By creating a customer account you accept these terms and confirm that you can bind the organisation you represent. Participants using an account holder’s services follow that account holder’s rules. Cookie preferences are separate and not a condition of service. Accounts are personal; keep credentials safe and tell us about any suspected unauthorised access.
2. Service, customers and participants
MentorDrop provides question-and-answer sessions, provisional answers put together automatically, Qualify voice applications, Library videos, events with email capture, public article pages, sales of courses and Spaces through the account holder’s Stripe account, and a Kit integration. Features and limits depend on the plan. It is not an emergency service and does not replace your professional judgement. You need a current browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled, an internet connection and an email address; voice answers also need a microphone.
You decide who gets access, what you collect and how you use it. You must give participants and applicants the required notices, have a lawful basis for what you collect and for the emails you send them, configure permissions and retention, and handle their rights. Where Qualify shows outcomes automatically, you must explain their consequences and provide human review when they significantly affect a person.
3. Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of what you and your participants submit and grant MentorDrop a licence to host, copy, transmit, convert, transcribe, index, generate derived text from and display it only to provide, protect and support the service or comply with law. You must have the necessary rights. MentorDrop and its licensors keep the platform, software, brand and documentation.
4. Acceptable use and security
Do not use MentorDrop to break the law or others’ rights, harass, deceive, surveil without authority, send spam or malware, test vulnerabilities, bypass limits, cross account boundaries or reverse-engineer protected parts. We may investigate abuse and limit access to the minimum needed, giving notice where reasonable.
5. Trial, billing, cancellation and consumers
The free trial lasts 14 days from email verification and needs no card. Polar, as merchant of record, shows the plan, total price, tax, currency, period and renewal before payment and issues the invoice. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in the billing portal or by writing to hello [at] mentordrop.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Amounts due are non-refundable except by agreement or mandatory right.
The free trial is one per person and email address. If you pay for a plan during the trial, the plan starts that day and you get the one-time gift of extra credits. We may refuse or end a trial created to repeat one or with false details.
Each plan includes monthly credits for transcribing audio and for the automatic features; unused credits do not carry over. Credit packs are a one-time payment and expire 365 days after purchase. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts and are lost when the account is closed. A pack already used is not refunded, except where mandatory law requires.
Extra credits as a gift. The extra credits we give when you start paying before the trial ends are a promotional gift: they are not purchased, have no cash value, are not refunded and cannot be transferred, and they expire after 365 days. There is only one gift per customer. We may withdraw any that are unspent if they are obtained or used abusively, for example by downgrading right after receiving them, with duplicate accounts or by requesting a refund of the charge that earned them.
The video watch hours of each plan are a reasonable-use reference: we do not cut playback, but if an account exceeds it on an ongoing basis we may ask you to move to a suitable plan.
If the trial ends without payment, the account becomes read-only. If a payment fails, you keep full access for 22 days while it is retried, and the account becomes read-only if it is still unpaid. Read-only deletes nothing, and you can still delete videos in Studio.
An unjustified chargeback of a MentorDrop charge is treated as non-payment.
We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice; the change applies from the next renewal and you can cancel before then at no cost.
If you act as a consumer you keep all mandatory rights, including withdrawal within 14 days by writing to hello [at] mentordrop.com, for example with the model form at the end of these terms; if you asked for an early start, the proportionate amount may be due.
6. Payments from your clients
On any paid plan you can set up Stripe from Studio, which creates a Stripe account in your name that you manage with Stripe, and sell access to your Spaces: in one payment, as a subscription or in instalments. The free trial does not sell. If you cancel the plan, you can keep selling until its paid period ends. Buyers pay on Stripe’s checkout page, or add your upsell on the thank-you page with one click on the card they just used, and the money goes straight to your Stripe account. You are the seller: MentorDrop is not a party to the sale, never receives or holds the money and takes no commission; you pay us only your plan.
As the seller you are responsible for your prices and offers, taxes (including VAT) and their filing, invoices or receipts, refunds, disputes and chargebacks, and your own terms of sale. You also meet consumer law toward your buyers. In the EU that includes the 14-day right of withdrawal: for immediate access to digital content, when you or they are in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland (or their country is unknown), the checkout asks the buyer to expressly waive that right, but whether the waiver holds for what you sell, and the other requirements such as confirmation on a durable medium, are yours.
Access follows what Stripe reports. It starts when Stripe confirms the payment and lasts as the offer says; a subscription, or an instalment plan until it is paid in full, keeps it while its payments are up to date, plus 7 days’ grace. A one-off payment loses its access once refunds and lost disputes together give back the whole payment; a partial refund keeps it. Refunds of subscriptions and instalments do not end access, so cancel those in Stripe. If a Stripe event arrives late, the access change does too. If a buyer deletes their client profile on your MentorDrop pages, their access ends; while the Stripe account that took the sale is still connected, MentorDrop also cancels their subscriptions and instalment plans there, without a refund; otherwise, cancel them yourself in Stripe. You can also grant or remove access by hand in Studio.
If your MentorDrop subscription ends, the account becomes read-only: no new checkout opens and your clients, buyers included, can no longer ask questions or play videos. Stripe keeps charging existing subscriptions and instalment plans: tell your buyers and, where appropriate, cancel or refund in Stripe. Stripe events are still recorded, so access is up to date if you pay again.
You can disconnect Stripe at any time in Studio: MentorDrop loses access to that Stripe account for good, the account and its payments stay with you in Stripe, and connecting again creates a new Stripe account. From then on that account cannot sell through MentorDrop. One-off purchases and instalment plans already paid in full keep the access they bought; subscriptions and instalment plans still being paid keep it only until their last paid period plus the grace days, even if Stripe keeps charging, so cancel them in Stripe or tell your buyers.
Your Stripe account is governed by the Stripe Services Agreement, which you accept directly with Stripe; Stripe may ask you for information, hold funds or restrict the account under it without our involvement. MentorDrop stores only your account id and the details of each sale needed to grant access; it never sees card details.
7. Providers and automatic features
We use the providers listed in the Privacy Policy and remain responsible for them (§11). The Kit and Stripe accounts you connect are your own contracts; when you sell through Stripe you are the seller to your buyers. The automatic features use an artificial intelligence system: they transcribe, assess, rank, assemble and draft text and can be wrong. You and your mentors review the output and must not use it as the sole basis for a decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a person.
8. Availability, changes and termination
Maintenance, incidents, providers or force majeure can affect access. We give reasonable notice before removing a core paid feature unless law or security prevents it. You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate for material breach, unlawful use, serious risk, non-payment or legal requirement, normally with an opportunity to cure. On termination, access ends and account data is returned or deleted as set out in §11. Payment, confidentiality, intellectual property and liability obligations survive.
9. Warranties and liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a specific result. We do not limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or anything the law does not allow to be limited. Otherwise each party’s aggregate contractual liability is limited to the fees paid or due in the 12 months before the event, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. These limits apply only where the law permits and do not restrict data subjects’ rights. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights when the service does not conform to the contract remain in full; this section does not limit them.
10. Governing law, changes and contact
Polish law governs, without prejudice to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules where you live. We try to resolve disputes in good faith before litigation. Complaints: write to hello [at] mentordrop.com; we answer within 14 days. If you are a consumer you may also turn to your local consumer body or an out-of-court dispute resolution body; in Poland, the municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) and the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). We may update these terms for future use and will notify material changes affecting an active subscription. Notices and cancellations: hello [at] mentordrop.com.
11. Data processing on behalf of the customer (art. 28 GDPR)
Subject and duration: hosting and processing account data for the duration of the account. Nature and purpose: the functions in §2. Data: identification and contact data, content, audio and transcripts, assessments, purchases and access, technical data. Data subjects: your team, participants, applicants, buyers, visitors who leave an email.
We process account data only on your documented instructions, given through the product and these terms, including transfers outside the EEA, unless the law requires otherwise, in which case we inform you unless prohibited.
People with access are bound by confidentiality. We apply the security measures in the Privacy Policy and notify you without undue delay of a personal data breach affecting your data.
You authorise the sub-processors in the Privacy Policy (Hetzner, Wasabi, Bunny.net, Cloudflare, AssemblyAI, OpenAI, DeepInfra, Cohere) and any new or replacement sub-processor we announce at least 15 days in advance; you may object for legitimate reasons and terminate if we cannot accommodate it. They process data under their data-protection terms, and we remain liable for their performance.
We help you respond to data subject requests through the product and by email, and assist with security, breach notification and impact assessments, taking into account the nature of the processing.
Before closing, you can ask us at hello [at] mentordrop.com for a copy of your data. If you ask us to close your account, or the contract is terminated, we delete its data within 30 days unless the law requires retention.
We give you the information needed to demonstrate compliance and allow audits, on reasonable notice and at most once a year unless an authority requires more, and tell you if an instruction infringes data protection law.
